Technical Account Manager
- Reports to Mike Sullivan as part of our Managed Services Team
- The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for maintaining the technical relationship with specified accounts. The TAM will coordinate many types of projects with a customer, foremost being the Software Upgrade process for ShoreTel accounts. Additionally, you will be responsible to coordinate other BW resources to assist customers with other technical needs. This position works within our Unified Communications Center (UCC), and ties together service, field operations, and sales elements.
Education
- B.S. or equivalent degree
Requirements
- 2+ years related IT experience
- Experience designing, installing and supporting IT solutions that include:
- Microsoft Windows Servers including operating system install, support and configuration (DHCP, DNS etc).
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (XP, Vista, Windows 7)
- Managed Ethernet switches including VLAN configuration and Layer 3 routing.
- Familiarity with VoIP Systems
- Other attributes to be evaluated:
- Experience with VoIP rollouts and managing the infrastructure
- Networking and Microsoft certifications
- Familiarity with databases (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, etc)
- Linux Servers Server’s including operating system install, support and configuration (Red Hat, Cent OS, etc)
- VMware ESXi operating
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (XP, Vista, Windows 7)
- Linux desktop operating systems (Ubuntu, etc)
- Ability to work on a flexible time schedule.
Responsibilities
- ShoreTel and Avaya Systems Software Upgrades – engineer and manage
- Work with customers to execute software upgrades
- Technical consulting and discussion of features and benefits
- Develop documentation for both implementing and supporting
- Coordinate BW resources
- Develop follow up practices
- Network products - design, installation and support
- Windows Server products to support telephone system deployments
- Ethernet equipment support for voice and data deployments
- Routers for multi-site deployments and WAN configurations
- Firewalls and VPN deployments
- Wireless LAN equipment
- IP telephone systems
- Quote projects – related to Software upgrade process
- Collaborate with our sales team on projects
- Collaborate with our data services team to uncover projects and uncover new opportunities
Fieldwork
- Upgrade customers both remotely and onsite
- Implementation and teaching our customers
Training
- Constant self teaching and learning is required.
- Certification in specific products will be required.
- Occasional travel may be required
Overtime and On-call
- Part of after hours monitoring and support team as needed

Project Manager Gunner

The PM Gunner is responsible for coordinating, developing, and documenting Boston Wireless training while working with all the Project Managers to assist on their projects. This position will cover all of our product lines and will work closely with Project Management, Technicians, and IT. The goal for this position is to develop “best-in-class” training techniques while learning how to Project Manage.
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
- Experience developing literature
- Experience with live presentations
- Experience with telecommunications or data products preferred
Responsibilities
- Project Rollouts – working directly with Project Managers
- Build systems
- Attend database meetings and help with documenting

- Coordinate training schedules with customer
